[Mk2] [Generic] Relay help

Post by cavegod »

Hi all can somebody test their IGN relay for cotinuity between terminals 1&3 (the outside two in the row of 3)

The bgb says they should have but i dont get continuity nor do i on the other two relays in the frunk fuse box. Just wondering if its an error in the bgb.

Teminals 1 and 3 of the IGN relay are the coil winding in the relay so whilst there will be continuity, there will be a small resitance.

Thanks Pete, whilst i don't get continuity between them the relay does click so the coil must work.

So the only thing left for my batt charge light is the alternator regulator.

If you have 12V at all three alternator plug pins with ignition on, then it'll be your alternator.

Just get an exchange unit.
