one of my licence plate lights doesn't come on unless I tap the other one?

Hi

Has anyone else experienced this oddity. When I turn the lights on the left hand number plate light doesn't light up but the right hand one does. If I then gently tap the right hand one though it then makes the left hand one light up so then they are both working. It happens each time I switch off and then come back to switch them on I have to tap the right hand one to turn the left hand one on. Any thoughts please?

My first guess would be shonky or frayed/worn wiring, or deposits on the wiring/contacts causing intermittent failure in the circuit. It's unusual for it to be so regular... But not unusual for a wee tap to fix it!

Take it all apart and put it back together!
