20 years old this year! Happy Birthday!
You were a mere 6 years old when we got together, young yes, but certainly not cradle snatching!

You had been in the country for 2 years after getting on a boat from Japan to Southampton.

I found a picture of you sitting on the dock waiting for the boat that would carry you.

.

.

.

You landed safely and soon you found your first boyfriend.

.

.a certain Jason Croft who cared for you and bought you some gifts and some subtle cosmetic surgery.

You were then told to pack your bags and Jon Millar took you in and cared for you and bought you more gifts.

Here you are at his house in 2001

And then one day, whilst surfing the internet.

.

.i found you.

Sitting in all your glory, I fell in love with you instantly.

Luckily for me Jon was willing to part ways with you.

.

.and the match was made.

I came up and took you home with me and introduced you to my current UK love.

Unfortunately, the English NA felt rather inadequate sitting next to you with the turbo, extra horses, and the quirky little Japanese ways you had about you.

.

.and she went off to a new home which left us alone together.

And so the journey of our love began, we have had our ups and downs, and have treated you to numerous new shoes, cosmetic surgery

(some good some bad.

.

.we won't mention the blue neon kit that you liked so much!

)

I have lavished you with gifts, no expense spared.

You wanted the best.

.

.you got it!

And then it happened.

Whilst i was riding you hard one night, something gave way! You popped your head gasket.

I was devastated.

But i remained loyal where others would of sent you to the scrappie.

Along came Rogue motorsport who nursed you back to health by rebuilding your broken engine into the forged beast you are today, making 350bhp!
I recall the day i waved you off.

.

.

.

And then you were back.

.

.reunited at Peterborough JAE!

And we were happy.

I lavished you with more gifts, and our bond grew stronger.

And then in 2011 something happened.

.

.my love started to wane, family and kids began to take priority, and you sat in the garage.

.cold.

.lonely.

I made the hardest decision ever.

.

.and i sold you! I hated myself for it, i pined for you, many a night looking longingly at past pictures, wishing I had not parted ways.

I found a new love.

.

.from France, a tasty 205 GTI.

.

.but nothing compared to the grunt of your double exit pipes, HKS dump valve and the boost.

.

.oh how i missed the booooost!

And then it happened.

.

.

.the email came from the guy that i sold you too.

.

.he did not love you any more!!! I became excited, i put a deposit down to own you once more.

.

.

.and in August 2013 we were reunited once more.

Never to be parted again!
You had suffered a bit whilst away, slight neglect and some of your choice parts had been replaced.

.

.

.but your heart was still beating strong.

I did not care for cosmetic change.

.

.you also had a slight name change from M39 UKL to K9 JFG.

.

.

.this was changed back to a shortened name similar to your old one.

.

I have apologised to you for letting you go by buying you a new set of shoes.

.

.

Some new clothes, inside and out.

.

.

.along with a new spoiler, front splitter, and your boot and engine lid resprayed.

.

.

.

You are back in my life once more.

Back where you belong, back to the good times.

Happy Birthday M9 UKL.

20 years old and still going strong.
