Parts to replace when the engine is out

Post by Norway92 »

Hi!
Quick question.. Im doing a 3sge to 3sgte 3gen swap. Going to take out the 3sgte from the other car soon so I was wondering what things I should do before I mount it in my car. Service parts and stuff. I know it's been a while since last service on this motor and it have droven well over 130.000 miles if I remember right.

I don't have so much experience with cars so would appreciate it a lot if you guys could help me with this! And yeah, sorry for the bad english..

Waterpump
Cambelt
idlers
Tensioner.
Ac belt
Rocker Gasget

Any bolts that are corroded.

etc

Basically anything that has decent levels of wear. Check all the pipes for wear if they are worn replace..

There is a massive list but most of it is common sense.. If it looks worn replace.. :thumleft:

Take the sump off and check the big end and main bearings.
