[Mk2] [Generic] Bike carriers

Post by nevvo »

Afternoon all,

I just posted in the "Wanted" section as I'm after a set of roof bars for the tubby. I know they're like hens teeth but I don't really fancy running a universal one off the back for fear of paint damage etc.

Has anyone got any novel solutions to this problem? I saw one thread that looked to have a solution but there wasn't any information on what the parts were that the chap bought:

All suggestions welcome.

Theres a thread over on the American mr2oc. Tells you exactly what you need to buy.
I'm on my phone now but I've got it bookmarked on my laptop so I'll post the link when I get in from work :thumleft:

Found it!

I did actually see this yesterday but dismissed it as the Yakima gear is pretty hard to source but now I'm on the hunt.

That's the one!
I managed to find pretty much everything on ebay when I searched for all the parts. Haven't bought any of them yet but I know they're there when I do decide to do it :thumleft:

It's looking like it's going to be quite a pricey purchase :(

Saw these the other day, bit pricey but could be an option for an MR2
