Back on the road

Post by Quigonjay »

drove my car for the first time in about 18 months today
my god, feels nothing like I remember
cabin feels a bit claustrophobic after not sitting in it for so long
keep getting the wipers and indicators mixed up again
steering feels heavy, and a bit funny
I have a sore neck and left leg (and a headache)
I have acquired a rust bubble on rear quarter while its been stood
also acquired a nice lived in musty aroma (whats best for getting rid of this?)
worst of all, I cant boot it yet as i'm bedding in a new clutch :(
on a more positive note, I had set my first car alarm off within 2 minutes of getting back in to town :thumleft:
i'm sure the love will return at some point

edit: and I forgot about the fuel cap being under pressure after a long journey so made myself look a xxxx in the petrol station

What happened Jay?

As Draven says chin up, at least you got it on the road after a long spell off!

My car is on the road after a spell, got it mapped and was brilliant, except now ut won't start it in the cold. It splutters and then the smell and taste petrol is too much so it's sitting on the drive lol

I still got bits to do so am just waiting for the dry days, so maybe June 2014 ha ha :eye:

Chin up dude :)

Well i've got coolant pouring out of some unknown location. I'm not moving to a house with a garage till april. I've got no where to store anything due to living in a flat so currently have coilovers / wheels / crap in my living room..

:thumleft: Still wouldn't get rid of my car.
