Sounds as if coolant is moving around??

Hey guys,


I have a G-Limited Rev 2 Auto, I seem to be having an issue where by I can hear the coolant moving around at the front of the car.

When I start her up she Idles at 1.5k to begin with and the "swoshing" sounds begin, put her in drive and revs drop to 1k but when I pull away it sounds as if water is being shaken up.

When she gets to temperature (just under half on the gauge) every returns to normal, in park she idles at 1k, in drive she ideals about 700 and all "swoshing" sounds are gone.

The car doesn't over heat, even when taking her out for a hard drive :P.

What do you think the issue is here?

the 91 NA I just bought also makes the same noises, as I discovered last night when sitting silent in the car working on the radio (I had it fired up to heat the interior up)
Im going to check the coolant system for level later, with a view to clear any air locks
