Yes leaves! I know it's a bit of a strange topic but one that holds more relevance at this time of year. Does anybody else suffer from a leaf blow dry every time they turn their heaters on? I was wondering if there's perhaps something missing on my blower air intake (wherever that may be) and if there's an insiders tip to fixing this? I'm set to lower my car in the coming weeks and I can only imagine this is going to get worse as I scoop up increasing amounts of leaves. Perhaps I should hire out my services to the local council?
Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, I did search

Re: Leaves!
the intake for the interal fan i beileve is at teh top of the bonnet on most cars..
where the grill bottom of windscreen is
there should be a filter to stop this
maybe someone has removed it?
lowering should not make a difference

Re: Leaves!
This sounds hilarious. Leaves in the cabin?
I've never had anything come through the vents except smells. It does sound like something's missing! Maybe in an effort to lighten the car?

Yeh, weird right? The reason I ask is because it's my first mid engine car and I didn't know if things were rigged up any differently from the norm. Also, the fact these are whole leaves led me to believe they were being scooped up from below rather than somehow travelling over the sleek shell of the car and down the fine grill on the window scuttle. I havnt take anything to bits yet as I work a lot and havnt had the time/daylight hours to look into it properly. Any elaboration on location of intakes and filters etc?

I think we deserve a video on this one
Re: Leaves!
I've occasionally had small leaves stuck in the vents. More of an annoyance than anything.

Yes this is it, but more than occasionally. In the summer it's itchy pollen and dust and in the autumn winter, leaves lol
Re: Leaves!
Had this problem in my mk1 but never the mk2
Re: Leaves!
Not had this problem myself, but it does seem strange to me why our cars don't have cabin filters.

Re: Leaves!
These will clear - dash vents only - full power - open and close one vent at a time. The blower is powerful enough to clear any debris.

Can't wait for the video of snow flakes being blown into the cabin.
