"he texted to say he was forced to work - I got my train anyway"
And he blames everyone but himself for a wasted journey.

don't see what the big deal is, bit of a pain in the ar$e but it's not his car to buy, it's the sellers car to sell. could have been a bit more communication i guess.

Re: 'Sam' on ebay, named and shamed
Am I missing something???
The seller sent a text to say that the car isn't ready and then the potential buyer starts to travel there anyway!! What did he expect?!
Wonder how long it is till eBay take that advert down as he isn't selling anything and by his own admission is using someone else's photo for the advert..... My vote is on 2 days

The guy sounds like a total tit, I'm glad he wasted his time and money. If I were the seller I'd be fuming at this ad.

Somebody should hit buy it now

i was actually beyond tempted!!!!
Re: 'Sam' on ebay, named and shamed
Why did he get a train anyway, after being told the seller had to go to work?
Re: 'Sam' on ebay, named and shamed
I suppose he has a point though assuming things went down as he described them.
When I travelled down to South Wales (from Manchester) to buy the MX5 a few years back I had already sorted my insurance to start on the day of collection and bought my train ticket to leave early morning as well, so it is possible he was left out of pocket as he states in this situation.
Besides if I tell someone I am going to meet them on a particular time/day I make sure I am there. If I tell someone I am going to sell them something for £5, I sell it for £5 etc etc.
Personally I would find a text an hour before the guy's train was due bad manners myself

And to think I was tempted to go and look at that one. Glad I didn't now
Re: 'Sam' on ebay, named and shamed
Thing is even if it did go down that way, maybe he actually did have to go to work, maybe it was really unavoidable
Re: 'Sam' on ebay, named and shamed
He put up an ebay posting to winge about how he was messed around, what a bloody child.
$hit happens, grow a pair, take it on the chin and try and negotiate the costs spent here off the car when you finally go to view it. Its a slight inconvenience at best.
"Ill post up on the MR2 owners club, ive been wronged"
What are we, guns for hire.
Girl.
