change of old headlights? but what to?

Post by steve07 »

hi everyone, im looking to upgrade my old standard front headlights, thinking of possibly going with HID's but ive seen theres a few different options regarding the headlamp?
rev 6 conversion?
Pair of Crystal H4 Halogen head lamps Toyota MR2 Mk1 Mk2 headlights front lamps,
7X6 H4 H6054 SQUARE DIAMOND CRYSTAL PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS 86-95 TOYOTA MR2 which look slightly different.

Has anyone fitted or have a set of any headlamps? it needs to look more modern :D

Hi mate I fitted a set of the crystal Raybrig lookalikes to my old MR2 and was very pleased with them, as HID's aren't strictly legal I'd perhaps avoid them and fit the Crystal lights with some Osram Nightbreakers or similar I'm sure they'd be more than capable :-)

The ones from eBay for about £60 that a lot of people buy paired with the osram night breakers is simply amazing of stock. I could not believe how much of difference it made.

They have them on there now at £40 sold by powerful_uk_Ltd they come and go. I found I missed my chance last year and to wait over a month to find them again.

Yeah, those coupled with Osram KB bulbs is a great up to date combo, which is so much brighter than the dull yellowish tinge you get from stock headlights. :thumleft:

Sorry for the delayed reply, I bought my headlights with a 35 pound best offer (40 buy it now)

Generally Nightbreakers are widely acknowledged as one of the best sets of bulbs you can get. I'm sure I've seen them on eBay at around £15 for the 2

I'll have a look and grab a link when I can :-)

Bulbs are seperate buddy. Think they just sell the lenses. Loads of ebay sellers selling the bulbs.
