Rev 3 mr2 badge between the reverse lights

I have just stumbled across my old mr2 letters that go on the reverse board and was just wondering what material they are as i want to repaint them silver, Do i use normal primer or plastic primer ?????

I'm not quit 100% sure as it seems to be a bit to flexible to be plastic for the width of what it is.

they seem like they are either some very flexible plastic or maybe even a kind of rubber

but id go for plastic primer and as long as you dont start bending them you should be fine

Plastic primer sounds like the way forward

They wont be getting bent in any way, just didn't want the paint coming of when it gets washed and polished..

Dont know what they are made of, but when I had my car resprayed a couple of years ago, the classic car restorer said that lettering just disintegrated when he tried to remove them.

My car has no badges on the rear and seems to keep people guessing what it is. I once had a lambo slow on a motorway and hold position just off the rear quarter to take a look before it cleared off.
