URGENT: Craig's red Turbo advert on Pistonheads...

Hi all.

On my daily trawl through the classifieds for a Turbo, I noticed that Craig's red example had dropped to half price:

"Crikey!" I thought. "That's a hell of a reduction. Is he serious?" so I sent a message asking if it was still for sale and why the 50% discount.

I got a reply from a "Ronnie Adams" which I'll quote below with copy'n'paste:

Specs:
Recently serviced with new cambelt

I am the second UK owner
4 new tyres
Brand new Varta battery
Been undersealed
All four wheels are in fantastic and original condition (never been re
painted)
All four Oem mud flaps in place
Also have all blinds and bags"

Needless to say I haven't replied to this clown. When I found out about this car being for sale I had a look around the Interweb and found some forum posts with Craig relating his experiences.
It immediately became obvious that Craig can write in English whereas this c**t can't.

If anyone on here knows the real Craig can they get a message to him and tell him to report this to PH before some idiot gets burned?

there's loads of this kind of thing going on, when i was looking at pick ups, there'd be loads of ads like this, 57 plate navaras for 2k etc....i don't know what they could achieve by doing this, unless you arrive somewhere with the cash and they jump you

They ask for a deposit before you view the car, sometimes only small but if they do it to enough people it works out pretty big for them.

aahhhh gotcha, i've seen loads of this, not just with cars either, TV's etc.....

Recieved an e Mail the other day from what looked to be pistonheads confirming my account details.
Appears now it was bogus !
Looked totally legit, others beware......

To be totally honest Craig, I've not been looking all that long. At the moment I'm just getting a feel as to what I need to pay for a good'un. But when I saw yours had dropped to half price (Supposedly!) I thought I'd at least ask what the story was. Now we know!

There are lots of lovely looking N/A's around and at very reasonable prices, but as I said earlier, I know I'd regret it if I bought one of those when what I should really have done is to be patient and hold out for the turbo.

I'm in no rush anyway.
