I'm trying to sort out which brake pads to use for my car.

I thought I'd decided to take the plunge and go Carbotech

(like I know everyone will tell me I need), but having found out that I'll need to change the nearly new discs too, my pockets aren't that deep.

I just had Red Stuff on, and wasn't too unhappy with them, but feel like I should try something new.

The car is used mainly on the track, so I want good stopping power and high fade resistance.

Cold bite is not as important, but is a consideration.

The names I see bandied around are:

Porterfield
Hawk
Mintex 1144

(Camskill can't get any for 6-8 weeks which is too long)

Porterfield seem to in the same ballpark as Carbotech, not sure if they need new discs though.

.

.

(From what I understand, it is adhesive pads that require new discs rather than abrasive).

Does anyone know of any other options, and their availability?
