New Wheels and Tyres Fitted

Post by Nic »

Just fitted new wheels and tyres.

Front Wheels: Nissan R32 GTS-T 16"x6.5" - powder coated satin black
Front Tyres: 205/45/R16 Toyo Proxes T1R

Rear Wheels: Nissan R32 GTR 16"x8" Wheels - powder coated satin black
Rear Tyres: 225/45/R16 Toyo Proxes T1R Tyres.

A couple of pics, I'll get some better ones once I've given the car a good clean and find somewhere a bit more scenic.

No spacers.

They use 60 degree angled wheel nuts.

I bought a set of aliminium spigot rings, sizes 66.1mm (Nissan) - 60.1mm (toyota), which were a perfect fit and very good value for money, see here:

The wheels are made by Rays, the rears are forged magnesium which makes them very light in weight at just over 6kg each, the fronts are aluminium which are slightly heavier but once the tyres are fitted they were similar weights all round.

I need to spray the wheel caps, but here's a couple of the wheels close up.

They are hard to find in the staggered setup I'm using. The Nissan Skyline R32 GTR and R32 GTS-T came with the same size wheels front and rear.

To get the staggered set up, another forum member and myself went halves on 2 sets of wheels, we bought 4 x R32 GTR (16"x8") Wheels and 4 x R32 GTS-T (16"x6.5") Wheels. The 2 sets of wheels cost us £300 in total, which we then split into 2xGTR and 2xGTS-T each.
