I have been offered a sorry state Mk 2 that is only fit to be broken unfortunately.
I'm considering breaking it on my drive as a bit of a project. My questions for folks who have done similar are:
- what postal / courier service is best to use for shipping large items such as body panels?
- what do I do with the bare (ish) shell at the end? Will a scrap metal outfit collect it for free / a minimal fee or I going to be left with a headache?
Cheers in advance

Re: Breaking a Mk 2 MR2
Unfortunately there are literally loads being broken at the moment. Rust is killing the unloved/unused examples. Unless the car you are looking at has some sellable extras like engine improvements/suspension/mint interior then it won't gain you much money.
Probably easiest if you have a car trailer to take the final shell somewhere that will give you scrap value for it.
Panels or parts over 30 kg are very pricey to send. Keep this in mind.
