Just thought I'd share this as I know this crops up every so often.

.

.

.

.

I used to own a Mk1 with an AE101 GZE engine conversion,
This engine uses the Roots SC-12 supercharger.

As this is a late 1980's engine, things have moved on a bit since then.

.

.

.

The supercharger on that engine is effectively what is now called an

"Ogura TX-12"

Coming back to present day, I've recently bought a Toyota Corolla TSport Compressor

(a 2ZZGE fitted with.

.

.you guessed it: a TX-12!!

)

Well.

.

.looking through my paperwork and manuals yesterday I stumbled on the following:

"Supercharger Oil Type:
Klubersynth GH6-80 of Kluber Lubrication

(
www.klueber.com)"

Which leads here:
http://www.klueber.com/en/product-detail/id/1052/

So.

.

.the specs

/ guesswork end here! This oil is not a magical elixir.

.

.

.

This is what Toyota use.

.

.

.

I dunno if this is common knowledge now?.

.

.

.if so, sorry.

.

.

!

.

.but I could have done with this info 7 years ago.
