Discussion and technical advice the SW20 MR2. 3S-GTE, 3S-GE, 3S-FE etc
Anything and everything to do with maintenance, modifications and electrical is in here for the Mk2.
The car is running perfectly as usual had the car 5 years, just read on MR2oc that if it's below 800 a sensor is usually dirt.
Gonna stop being a girl about it and stop worrying
Type of driving..short runs? semi clogged system, air filter ok i'd be thinking throttle position sensor, but first fuel injector cleaner in a tankful of fuel, and check your throttle butterfly is clean/clear as opposed to a ridge build up of dirt impeding the incoming airflow for tick over.

You think 750 is bad, try living with under 500 rpm.
My N/A has a warm idle of around 490-500 rpm.
But it dosn't bother me as it runs spot on and pulls hard through the cogs.
It has cut out on me twice in 1 night when pulling up to a junction. But hasn't done it since i gave it a telling off with my right foot. I think it was maybe telling me it wanted to be spanked lol.
If it's not running bad then I wouldn't worry. Sure a tuner said to me at some point stock figures were plus/minus 50rpm anyway. It's warm at the moment (relatively speaking) so if it feels Ok then I wouldn't worry too much personally.
