Having had a few enquiries, I have now revised the price of my well developed, 146bhp MK1 to the best offer I can get over £1,000, representing a huge loss on my costs over the past 6 months. It is fully restored on the chassis and has had thousands spent on the suspension, brakes, engine and gearbox. HKS cams with sports exhaust and superflex bushes. Two sets of ally tyres iwht very good Pilots and trackday/road tyres with lots of tread left (worth over £500 on their own!!).
I live in France, but am just one hour from the tunnel, so not a long journey and my hospitality is legend here!!!!! Alternatively, I can deliver at cost to
Ahford, Kent, as I visit my grandchildren there quite often.
For full specs and questions, please PM me. The welding alone would cost over £2,000 and it has to be one of the most solid MK1's around, but needs tydying now after all of the work. Full set of Red Bull livery (car is Mica Blue, so suits the Red Bull) included (cost over £70). No miles since MOT 6 weeks ago, but no tax and SORN'd.
VEry fast and handles superbly. Developed over the past 12 years by previous owner who was an RAF pilot. Lots of history, invoices showing massive work done and just about every MOT substantiating the low mileage.
Interior very good. Alpine remote Stereo, but CD option not working (could be simple).
Need to sell as well as my 1986 Yamaha XV1000 2AE lightweight motorcycle with 49,000km and fully refurbished in last 6 months. With trailer available or can deliver with the MK1. Will consider offers over £1,200 for the bike or an offer for both.
They have to go, as bills piling up and my health is going down.

Not sure if you're getting PM's, but could you possibly send me some photos?
Re: Mr2 MK1 for sale - revised price.
Lee,
Thanks for the prompt response with photos. This MR2 has had so much done to it and would be a real bargain of a gem to someone who has the time to sort it out...unfortunately that person is not me.
Thanks for the info also, it was interesting reading all the work that has been done.
Good luck with the sell, i'm sure it will shift soon.
Thanks again

Hi Lee,

Also superred, are you superwhite90 on the MK1 club forum? Have you 2 MR2s?

Re: Mr2 MK1 for sale - revised price.
Hello,
I did have a red mk1a aka this name, but since may 2007 have had mk1b in white. Never bothered to change names lol.
Was thinking 146 hp is okay, the cams im buying are slightly longer duration than that so should be good for 150

Hi
Polybushed and KYB's with uprated springs (sorry, no idea what make). Car has had thousands spent on brakes, suspension, engine and gearbox.
Currently on axle stands being painted to finish the restoration.

Hi
I have the invoice for the 256 cams and will have too look up the HKS specs and part numbers. I believe they are either 10.5 or 11.5 on the lift. Not sure about duration without doing some enquiries. I do know that the lower end torque is substantially better now and the power goes right through the revs. It is currently showing over 110bhp at the wheels.
The car is up on axle stands having the restored areas painted.
Regards
Lee
PS. Sorry for the delay in answering. Have been away.

Many thanks
The car is now being painted on the restored areas, so will be tidy once again very soon.

Will send photo's taken a few weeks ago (only done 60 miles since MOT), but car is now having paintwork done to renew restored areas. These show up as light grey on photo's, but are currently primered awaiting base coat and clear coat to finish. Lots of work, but nearly there.

Hi
Have contacted HKS. Lift on the 256 is 10.5 and duration is .......256!!!!
Cams were fitted (13 hours total work time) by Circuit Motors, who also fitted the Version 'A' chip to the piggy back ECU and did a full mapping with the new chip.
All new shims fitted with cams. Cost £956.48 plus the cost of camshafts @ £229.13 each.
Car is also fitted with Fensport adjustable rear roll bar links. and lots more.
Regards
Lee

Re: Mr2 MK1 for sale - revised price.
Hi Lee,
Thanks for that. Only asking as I'll be purchasing some 252/260 cat cams soon with 8.5/9.0 lift, hoping for the same sort of output

You should get the low-end torque, but with the lift, the top end will be lower than the 256.
Hope the build goes well.
