I finally started on the 2 :D

I only had a couple of hours free today so I started by fitting the celica seats that have been sitting there for months

Then I thought I'd fit the plasma dials I bought off Steve-o

I reset the odometer to 0 too

I also put my turbo engine on a stand so I can start the forged rebuild

I hope to start to take the front wings and bumper off tomorrow and test fit the trd replacements

Looks like its coming on great guns

Only thing I don't get is people's fascination with the celica seats, they look awful and aren't that good.....I've had a celica too

What are those dials like at night? Do they distract the eye when driving?

Do Celica seats have adjustable bolsters?

You can turn down the brightness on the dials at night

The celica seats don't have adjustable bolsters no

 I've fitted the wings and test fitted the bumper pics later I'm off out

PICS TIME

Removing the wings and bumper ( I removed them in one then split them as it was better access )

Image

I even managed to remove the rub strips without breaking the studs \:D/

Image

The TRD kit I got was made by Neos design who I was told made great products and I can confirm this the wings and bumper are excellent fitment

Wings fitted (excellent fit)

I also test fitted the front bumper

The bumper only had 1 bolt in the top and a couple of bits of duck tape but its a great fit , I didn't fit the bumper as I have to paint the bumper bar ,fit twin headlights also my chargecooler rad . I'm also going to use stainless bolts for the bumper so I need to order some.

That's it for this week as I'm working away all week again so can only work on it at the weekends.

Hell, I've been doing it wrong all this time, as the TRD kit looks so much easier to mount  Well, until you get to the other bits...

Nice looking kit though :)

Thanks , the hardest part is definitely going to be bonding the rear quarters but so far it's been an excellent fit and going together so easily with all the fixing in the right places 8)

Not had much time to do the 2 today,

Over the past few weeks my jeeps had a misfire  which I tracked down to be the injector in No 1 , So I've been sorting out that today .

I did manage to fit the TRD extended boot lid and I started to paint my Nissan calipers ready to fit the BBK (forgot to take photos Ill take some soon)

Those lights look good. Shame there's not currently any shrouds available for them, to keep them protected from the elements.

Yeah it's a shame but I have some spare surrounds so I'm going to have a go at making some :thumleft:
