Thankfully it did :thumleft:

Might treat the underbody in the next couple of months.

I was sat in the test station rocking, like a man waiting to get some results from a doctor

Booking it in to get the wheels balanced properly, as there's still shake between 60 and 70 ](*,)

Time to give the tax man some money I guess :eye:

Yep, good times :) I can stop flapping about it now

Time to get that license plate mounted properly. I'm still not sure on the best location, method for attaching and size to go for :-k I'm replacing the front and rear plates as the current ones are a bit tatty and I still have a nice screwless mounting solution for the rear plate, which came off Mule v1.. Just need to decide of the approach I'm taking. Current ideas are:

* Import plate mounted in the centre of the upper lip
* UK plate mounted in the centre of the upper lip
* UK plate mounted in the centre of the lower lip
* A N Other solution but with a smaller plate. Not as keen on this as I want to be law compliant , as best as possible.

Suggestions welcomed on this one :)

I scoped out what's going to be required for the arch liners and it's going to be a little more tricky than I first thought. The main goal is to isolate the arch from the areas in front and behind, so some beard stroking and meddling with cardboard ahead of me this week. :-k

I think you need to show us your number plate options via photoshop for some real feedback

That looks good, however my main concern is ensuring that whatever approach I take I doesn't affect airflow to the chargecooler rad. If I didn't have that it would be much easier.

I have thought about ways of mounting and angling the plate so it actually directs the airflow towards the rad, but they're not as in keeping with the regs surrounding a plate should be displayed :-$

Good news on the MoT pass :thumleft:

My front plate sits on an L shaped bracket screwed to the underside of the upper lip. There's a picture in my garage (running a full size plate now as strangely enough BIB didn't appreciate the little one!). The down side is locating it in this way does mean a fairly sizeable are of the CC rad is covered but in all honesty I can't say I've ever noticed this impeding the cooling efficiency. As Ashley says, photoshopping your options is probably the best way to go.

Rather than trying to Frankenstein some mock-ups of the plate together I thought it easier to use the real deal, with some help of an old friend.

So the current options/ideas are:

UK plate on an OEM holder, mounted on the top lip of the bumper
Image

As above but mounted on the bottom lip. Dropping as low as possible, without being lower than the bottom of the bumper
Image

Mounted on the mesh (not keen)
Image

Import plate on an importer holder, mounted on the top lip
Image

As above but on the bottom lip, again with the same drop to be flush with the bottom of the bumper (well, slightly above, just in case..)
Image

Thoughts? :-k

Any options I'm missing?

I like the import plate on the top of the bumper
Only other option is to mount to one side, so over what would be a fog light area :-k

I like the UK plate mounted on the top lip- it looks like it blocks less flow to the rad, plus the import plate mounted there looks like it's hanging down too much to my eye.

Bottom lip options don't work imo, and agreed and mesh mounting [-X

I've currently got a single line plate that fits inside the Jap import holder.

Its in the stock location.

Its not quite 100% legal but its perfectly easy to read at a distance.
