Post by Elliott_Knight »

Got a track day coming up soon in my mk1. What tyre pressure is recommended for the roadster alloys?
Thanks

What tyres?

Full tread road tyres need more pressure than track tyres to keep tread stability and prevent overheating.

R888s etc are good with less pressure.

I think we use about 24psi front 25psi rear (cold) with R888s or similar.

Rears heat up more than fronts as they do more work. A bit of trial and error is always required.
