[Mk2] [Turbo] induction kit question...

Post by biggunsjoe »

Hello all. Not had an mr2 for a while now but recently got myself a very tidy rev2 turbo. It came with a massive blitz induction kit fitted which sounds very nice although very loud. Has anyone fitted a closed or sealed induction filter to the turbo? I have a new pipercross venom kit which would fit onto the maf adapter and was wondering if anyone has one, or similar fitted? ta

A stock airbox would be your best bet if you want something quieter, it's sealed from the engine bay heat and is ducted to the side vent.

Ok thanks guys. I'll keep an eye out for a standard airbox as it didnt come with the car. Don't think the venom kit will fit with the cold air feed attached so its a bit pointless fitting it anyway.
