[Mk2] [Turbo] Instrument Dials

Post by Gaz »

My Mk2 came with white Lockwood dials, and to be honest I think they're flippin horrible. What other options do I have? I'd like something black and subtle ideally, however I do like the plasma glow look.

stock with the LED and red/blue/green/yellow film is the best, see shinny's thread on this subject :thumleft: :thumleft:

so simple as well mate, just make sure NOT to remove the needles from the clocks, it's more hassle than it's worth :(

Stock dials with uprated LEDs looks the best imo.

Took a whole weekend to get done and not as bad as you might think, the wiring is pretty simple it's the mounting of the dials which took most of the time, I had to modify a spare cluster and cut it up a fare bit to get the dials in.

Not 100% there yet but looks really smart :)

Pic is a bit blurry and the colours are stronger than in the pic. Stainless steel dials lit from behind with EL Panels and coloured gel film, needles and tacho lit with white LEDs in place of the standard bulbs.
