I took a JSP off my rev 3 na as it was just noise, on rev5 I have a k&n panel filter in stock air box but bored out entry to box and made some ducting down into vent to help.

Feels no different to when I had JSP and to be honest cant hear it over the Mongoose

My old MR2 came with a K plus N cone filter fitted. Low down the revs, it was mostly just exhaust noise from the stainless de-cat system, but up near the top of the revs, over 5k, the exhaust kind of died down and the filter would roar. Sounded pretty good tbh.

Does a k&n panel filter in the stock air box actually offer any improvement over standard?

waste of time.

The only real reason I could see to buy an induction kit is if you like the noise.

You *may* gain an odd hp but you won't feel any difference.

Literally no difference at all. Got one in my Rev 3 N/A. Waste of money really.
