As per the subject really. 2 of these, new.

They were a spare pair of fronts I had for this article:
Road VS Trackday tyres
One of them is dressed (side wall writing coloured in yellow, looks cool), the other is untouched. Neither ever fitted to a rim.
Cam have them at £134 each, I'll sell these 2 for £150.

I'll have them if they are medium compound. Can you post?
Re: 2 x 205/45 R16 Kumho V70A Trackday tyres
I do believe they're the hard compound, as advised by Kumho when they were supplying the tyres.
Can post, it's about £10 for 2 tyres.

So are they the K60 or K90 compound? Why did they specify Hard ? Seems a bit of overkill for the track? I assume they were destined to be put on the front of the car too? Well it doesn't really matter if it was front or back as the car is evenly balanced IMO. I use Medium all round usually
What compound did you use in the test?
Still interested in them but am going to have to look into the compounds to decide if K90 is too hard for the front
Regards

Kumho thought hard would be better on the rear with regards to wear and temperature control, my track car was 320bhp but only 1100kgs.
The test compound was the same compound as I'm selling, I'll double check the sidewall tomorrow.
The fronts never really got up to temperature on the road, but then nor did the rears. They were really effective on track and wore fantastically well, with no signs of overheating even on long runs (can't say the same for R888s)

Agree totally on the R888's (GG) going off after 10mins or so of racing but no such problem with the kumho (k60). They remain constant over the 40mins of racing and have'nt seen drop off with heat cycles like the 048 so far. My car is also around 300bhp and alot heavier than yours. It's going on a diet before the season starts.
What is the front charge cooler rad your running on the track car? Looks up to the job. I need something like that for mine!
Read your article. Very informative. 4 laps to walm up. That's too long when your racing!! Need them up to temp after the walm up lap So if they are k90 (hard)I won't be buying them. Sorry!

They're K90, though I'm not sure where you got 4 laps warm up from?
I don't mention it in the article, and I'm pretty sure they were fine after half a lap, though as you say if the medium is working for your racing stick with that, these will be good for someone on a trackday.
The chargecooler setup was fine, never missed a beat!
