clock changing

Post by Jez@Devoted »

I picked up my 4th mk2 a few weeks ago its a 92 g-limited and the clocks are in mph and only go up to 100mph. I dont think these are original because they read at 21.890kmh

When i drive according to my clock 60mph is 50mph on my gps so its 10mph wrong

Can i put any clocks in? Ive seen some on ebay that go up to 160mph will these just plug in and play and work?

If it's a rev2, you could put a UK electronic speedo in there? 100mph speedos are overlays for import cars.

I put a UK speedo in my import clocks.

So i could just change the faces and not the whole clocks?

I mean doing the whole clock would be easier. Me and dials are not the best of friends!

You could change the whole unit or go back to the 180km clock face and put a converter on the clocks so it reads 180mph instead, or i think you can replace the speedo part of the clocks you have now and put a 160mph uk speedo unit in there obviously with the odometer and stuff attached to the back not just the face with 160mph on.
