NW Monthly Meat Feb 11th - Getting a Brazilian

Post by Big_Martin »

Yes I did spell the title correctly
For this month's fill of all the meat you can eat, we will be getting a BRAZILIAN at...

Image SABOR DO BRASIL BAR & RESTAURANT Image

This is an all you can eat buffet style restaurant, and I'll let them tell you how it works...

Image

And the mouth watering menu...

Image

Time - Feb 11th - 19:00
We're looking to be sat down and eating by 19:30 so please try and arrive for at least 19:15.
The local multi story car park closes at 22:30 so we don't want to be late.

Price
For the full buffet plus 13 meats it's £23.80 per head.
Buffet only (but what's the point is going if you're not having the meat!) £15.80.

Location - WA14 2DT for Sat Navs
14-16 ASHLEY ROAD
ALTRINCHAM
WA14 2DW
TEL: 0161 927 9001

(Location according to google maps, I take no responsibility for the accuracy)

Parking
Parking for this one is not ideal, but I think the little inconvenience is worth it for the experience.
I believe most will be opting for the near by Goose Green multi story which is £1.80 for 1 - 3 hours.

Just like Bem Brazil in Manchester, great food.

Wish I could come to one of these meets but its impossible for me in the week as I don't finish work until 6pm.

This one is a bit earlier than usual, and quite a long way south of you, Lee. We do try to spread the meets around the northwest, so hopefully you'll be able to make it to one soon :thumleft:

Martin is there an option just to have a normal meal off the menu, as I'd just like a regular portion and I doubt I'd need to eat 13 meats! £23.80 x2 seems a bit steep unless it's decent fillet steak!

As far as I can tell there is just the normal buffet option for £15 odd.

I think we should live and learn from this one to check prices and parking before selecting the venue.

Hmm, the trouble is the buffet has no appeal as it just seems to be salad and who wants to eat salad? My problem is, I just don't need to eat 13 different types of meats and there is no way I could.

£45 (which is what it'll cost me for Mark and I) plus drinks is excessive when I know we won't eat even half the meats!

Obviously I will come, but I will see if I can make some kind of arrangement when I get there. :+:

To be fair, pretty much every meet we have is geared to budget eating. I don't think it's unreasonable if occasionally we do something different. :thumleft:

Also, I did actually say parking was a problem here when it was first mentioned as a possible venue

I'm very happy to pay for decent food, but not for what will end up being very poor value for us as we aren't big eaters. Also I'm not convinced this will be decent food, it's the quantity of meat you're paying for so if you don't eat all of it, you end up paying for an overpriced meal.

I'd happily pay £35 for a really amazing fillet steak, but this doesn't work for us at all.

I'm really sorry but we won't be attending as I'm not prepared to spend £50 on an evening on a load of food I'm not going to be able to eat.

I wasn't having a pop at you Lauren, that's why I quoted Rick. I totally see your point, and agree that they don't seem to offer much of an alternative to the complete meatfest.

When the venue was initially suggested for a meet, a decent number of people seemed to be interested in going. Obviously that now seems to have changed, but I guess that will always be the case.

A work colleague of mine went a while back and said the quality was excellent. They don't force you to eat thirteen different kinds of meat though :D

Don't worry, Martin, I don't want you to feel that I'm having a go at you either.

If we could go there and order say fillet steak at the same price we'd be up for it. The problem here is a lack of options in the menu.

I would but 7am is a bit early for me to be eating  I keep meaning to come to one of these, but would need to book the day off work in order to get there on time!
