Can i ask a little more about your brake setup? Its a great idea and quite fancy this for my own 2!

The nissan calipers, are the s14a calipers the same as the 300zx? (sorry as you may not know!)
Are you using the big brake caliper brackets form the group buy?

Do the nissan calipers have the bolt holes in the same place as the stock mr2 calipers? So will bolt straight onto the caliper brackets or did you have to have spacific ones made for them?

I have a few more questions but ill ask another time, dont want to bombard you! haha

I hope it makes a difference the coaters had complete engine blocks internally and externally coated. Pretty darn pricey though...

They did a whole host of ceramic coating for me, more pic to follow.

Who did you get to do it? I had my manifold, turbo hot side and decat/downpipe done. Seemed to drop engine bay temps by a few degrees, and I noticed the spoolup characteristics changed for the better.

A few job commitments have slowed things down a bit but getting there. Engine being built as we speak with a few niggles to overcome and waiting for cams to come in etc.

I got cam coat up north to do all the coating work. Got bearings, down pipes, turbo, exhaust manifold all done inside and out.

All I need is my W reg mk2 to put it in, haha.

That sounds brilliant, but my car is just not race ready. Still need to put the engine fully together although I do now have the W reg so I'm working on a little bit of weight reduction whilst retaining a pretty stock look.

All the best for it mate, update your TOTB page, be good to see how you get on. Any events in the summer I will be ready for.

If you can get along to a drag strip or dyno (I'm at Pod a lot and also have use of a dyno as & when in Leicester) once the build is complete, that would be good

Haha, man I am so slow at this building lark!!!

Have just moved house and now have a double garage.

I am got the engine in there now. When we have finished unpacking I shall get more pics on and everything that has gone on.

As a teaser we have.

New twin scroll turbo housing .78ar
Custom adapter plate for twin scroll and dual wastegate
New R32 front brake calipers, stripped and powder coated
A bit more work on the Caldina inlet
Going for COP's (Thanks for the info on this Ryan, I still need to bother you for some spec info at some point soon.)

Hi everyone,

A sad update to announce that this project is finishing. Due to a lack of time I am selling all parts and cars so new owners who can enjoy them.

Thank you to everyone who has been watching and your patience since my updates have had big gaps, again due to the time I can commit to the project.

If anyone is interested in any of the parts you have seen, please send me a pm and we can have a chat.

All parts are brand new and in my opinion are of the highest quality that I could afford at the time (normally top prices paid) since this was set to be my epic build.
