During that time I've met Peter a couple of times and we've chatted about cars. I go past his garage during my daily commute. This morning I scraped the ice from my car and set off to work and noticed that the car felt very strange.
After about a quarter of a mile I stopped and saw that my rear left brake disc was glowing orange! It was 8.30am. I phoned Peter and managed to slowly get to his garage. After seeing me pull up he phoned me and invited me across the road to his house for a coffee (you don't get that at Halfords!). It took him 5 minutes to diagnose that the fault lay with a sticking brake cable.
Luckily he had a mk1 cable in stock, so I was back on the road within an hour of arriving!Having an mr2 specialist half way between home and work is something I would heartily recommend!
