[Mk2] [Turbo] removal of all the AC components help????????

Post by bigmarky5185 »

hi guys i have a Rev2 Tubby Turbo which i have bout 2 months ago, its my 3rd mr2 :D .

i am looking to remove all the Ac compnents as after doing work to the car i have relised that the Ac has not been working for some time and for the cost of repair id rather just remove it all. The belt is off the pulleys and the AC rad is in terrible condition.

Im looking for any tips, pics etc to help me remove it all easier. also is there any thing on the engine that can be removed to do with the ac.

Any help would be great :?

Remove compressor, idler pulley and belt off engine.

Cut aluminnium pipework out bit by bit where you can't easily unbolt it.

Don't remove ECU and sensor by fill ports else rad. fan won't work.

I've yet to see a car yet which has one in good condition. Both of my '2s have had rads which in bits when I inspected them
