Best place for Waxoiling, cavity injection, undersealing

Post by TRINDA1664 »

Hi Guys

I am looking to get my tubby rust protected as soon as possible.

Waxoiled, cavity injected, undersealed what ever is best.

Does anyone know a good place to go?

I am in oxfordshire. As close to me as possible would be great but i do not mind travelling.

Thanks

Dan

If you look in one of the 4x4 magazines there are several specialists that advertise? Or how about asking pacific works?

Try Rogue.
I have trusted them to do just that to my R34GTR :thumleft:

Had an XJS done at Before-n-After in Newbury some years ago. Has now moved to Rugby area I think. First class job at that time, cost about £500 including VAT but according to the website an MR2 (small sports car) should be cheaper. Dont know how up to date the website is but worth a look.

Just need to be aware that the smelly black stuff drips on your drive for two or three weeks and the car interior smells for about the same time!

Don't have it 'waxoyled', its an inferior product.

Have it properly treated, and sealed using something by dinitrol or the like.

Also anyone who claims they can turn the job around in a day is not doing it properly, it takes time - drying time, curing time etc, not just man hours.

Its not a hard job to do either, just messy.

If you can get your car on jacks on the drive, and spare it being there for 2 or 3 days, you can do it yourself for about £100 in materials.

I did a write up on the MX5 Forum and have done it to my past 3 cars. Luckily the Toyota I bought had been professionally done but I am still going to touch it up next month.

Google before and after before you book anything in. Ive not used him but have heard some horror stories on the land rover forums.
