Spanky is selling his rev3 Carribean Blue tintop - not sure if he advertised it here.

They're out there if you want them!

One sat on my drive :)

Rev1 shell fitted with a full rev3 rear clip, just over 60k on the engine.

Full respray combined with toms skirts rear bumper and a larger front lip

Usual mods such a coilys, chargecooler, ebc.. Ect ect

Thinking of breaking tho. Although I say that iv been away from it on my honeymoon for a week now and looking forward to jumping back in the driving seat and going for a decent drive :) (when I'm done soaking up with Florida sun that is)

I do like the Caribbean Blue, very nice colour!

Yours looks a nice car Smartdj, I've got my heart set on one from about 94 on and with very minimal body mods really! Starting to think I might be a bit too picky!

Im with you OP, i aint seen a good one in a while, and was actually considering posting something up to this effect.

I was going to buy one as a second car again, or to keep in the garage to run alongside the M3..... i just dont see any that i would have to buy.

Going back to the one i got first time round in 2005, it was perfect. Bodywork was excelllent and standard, and had a nice set of Jap alloys on it.
Now all i seem to see is xxxx with bodykits on, and mid fitting halfords cheap looking alloys.

Engines might be strong, but they just look cheap.

Even on here there is only 1 or 2 coming up that i actually think is decent, like the yellow one in the 1st post. But dont think it has an MOT and needs work?
Quite dissapointed, even Pistonheads is quite bleak.
I have been on the jap auctions though and some do look quite good!

Might have resigned myself to getting a Mk1, and a turbo conversion instead.

You know it makes sense. Again though, ideally you want a tin-top, and good luck finding one!
If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.

Erm, it's an MR2. Even the best-looking example is nothing to write home about. They weren't lookers two decades ago, they sure as Hell won't be now...

Hahahaa i disagree man, i think the Mk2 looks very good! maybe not bog standard, but new wheels and dropped a little, the Rev 3's + look very good.

MK1's on the other hand, i think they are still as ugly as i thought they were years ago, i would still have a supercharged or turbo one though :)

Sheer cheap thrills, the clean ones look good and are a laugh.... only problem is that there doesnt seem to be many clean ones around in my opinion.

See, I love the MK1. Think it looks perfect for the job it was conceived to do all those years ago. But the MK2... Ugh! Fatty bum bum!

I'm different again. I was a teen in the nineties when the MK2s were doing the rounds and they had a very classic shape, which I think still looks well today.

As a result I like clean, standardish-looking MR2s - personally not a fan of the Max-Powered efforts, though I'd never knock someone else who was - plenty of space for all tastes when it comes to the SW20 in my book. :)
