[Mk2] [NA] Coilover Problems...

Bought a set of FK Silverline's in April but only just fitted the fronts on Monday.
Car was fine no noises or rattles.
Two days after drivers side started to rattle. I tightened everything up including drop link. And raised the height.
Then I noticed the top of the tyre tucks into the arch whereas the passenger side is perfectly straight. These are only height adjustable coilovers so camber option is a no.
Yesterday passenger side has now started to rattle. And the big question I'm after really is why is the drivers side tyre not straight? I'm clueless. I've taken it out and and put in again but same thing. Also it makes the car go slighty to the left when driving, which is really annoying.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks guys.

To me it looks like your camber is out like mine was when i lowered mine. You did get these aligned after fitting?

imo abit of negitive camber looks good and suposed to improve handling. will get uneven tyre wear though. they will use bolts to get it straight take it to a tyre shop

Were all the bolts you used to bolt the hubs to the struts the same? You may have one with a thinner stem (a camber adjusting / crash bolt) mixed in by accident?

It would be worth taking both wheels off, with the steering dead straight, and measuring the gap between the inner wing and the back of the strut on each side (as close to the bottom of the struts as possible) to make sure they are the same. If not it may be that the coilover, or top mount on one side has been impact damaged previously.

Did the camber on both sides match before you put the new coilovers on? If not it may be that one of the top mounting points have been damaged/ pushed up? Ever had a front side hard impact?

Could be a lot of things- best bet is to work out were the difference is and then work out how to fix it...

I haven't taken them for alignment yet since I still haven't put the back coilovers on yet. How much is it roughly? And do they sort the problem out?

I used the old bolts from the old struts to hold in place, since no new ones were supplied.

Nop never had any collisions. Just got the top mount off another MR2 in the scrapyard. seemed in good condition.

Could the rattle be the drop link not tightened properly?

Manage to sort out all problems today and all is well!

The Camber issue I just loosened the strut bolts and pulled it straight and tightened again. Simple issue.

And the passenger side rattling was due to the drop link being loose.
