White it is then
I'm looking at doing something similar to this http://www.flickr.com/photos/oliverpohlmann/4876969751/
So lots of polished metal, white pieces ad blue hoses. The Radtech pipework I'll either get ceramic coated or attempt the painful task of making a single piece of Nimbus to wrap each pipe perfectly. Might take a while though

Good call
Maybe make wearing oven gloves mandatory and keep them in the cubby

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
The female of the house is away, which means one of two things happens...
1. I go to a friend's house and we drink fine red wine and put the world to rights, before buying things off the internet in a slightly drunken state
2. I spend the night doing man tasks, which at the moment generally revolve around the car.
Tonight I opted for option 2, mainly because option 1 is working away today
First off I wanted to finally finish removing the paint from the Cusco strut ends. You wouldn't believe just how much work this was to get off!
So this is how we left things
Cut to several repeat soaks and scrubs later, it was left like this
Finished off with a wire brush and scrubbing pad and it's all finally off. Finally!!
Dried and put to one side, they are now ready to go off to be powder coated white.
The other job is hand was finishing the LED mod of the cluster. So it's now a W5W 5 led cluster behind each of the dials and a single ultra white LED for each of the warning bulbs (indicators, oil, fogs, doors, engine warnings etc).
Much cleaner and modern now.
That'll do for now I guess

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
A bit of a mock-up to illustrate my plans for the engine bay, once the power heart is put in. Obviously the lid, inspection panels etc won't be there, as this is an old photo.
Not too sure what to do with the cam cover though. White, polished, something else?
A few other little bits in progress at the moment but nothing finished, so no photos..... yet

I don't know, a few minutes of a working day doing something you're actually interested in can't hurt. MS Paint and a cup of tea can net great results, but not today

Hi Phil, just re reading your post about tyres on casper ( your new car ) can I ask if scott had the arches cut out and the fenderflares over the top or are the stock arches still in place but just heavily rolled?
Many thanks .

Hi Msrtin, how's things? Think you'll be ready to join us at JAE?
Just checked (Casper ) and the arches have been cut and the new pieces stuck over the top.

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
There's a world of half finished jobs going on at the moment, which should start to close off over the next week or so, hopefully...
One thing I was keen to get sorted was to repair the tear in the driver's bolster and to rebuild the padding. Along with finishing cleaning and polishing the interior, back to showroom+ spec
To start off
Not nearly as bad as the blue car's under seat filth!
What lurks behind the driver's seat. Needs a polish though
And behind the passenger's seat
Ahh, that's better
It's now cleaner than what lurks in the reflection
It's amazing how dirty these get! No more though
Not my hands Adrienne using her sewing Kung Fu
The girl did good
Back in. Although the light today has given everything that 70's look
Time to lose the blue mats
In preparation for a job tomorrow I thoroughly cleaned the Goodridge lines with alcohol. They were filthy!
After a lick of enamel paint we're looking good for a brake overhaul

She's looking fantastic mate, definitely in the right hands!
Just about to the business ready, bought all machines and products for now. Going on a machine polishing course this weekend to improve my skills.
Just need to finish building racking etc in the back of the van and waiting for a friend to finish my business logo. And all ready have a few customers lines up just through word of mouth!

Thanks Scott
Glad to hear things are moving along nicely.
I think anyone who's will recognise the aptitude. Especially as you spend half your time polishing the car and the other half thinking about it
