gauge holder

Post by 4ndee »

I'm currently loving the idea of centre console dash gauges. But pondering if a 52 mm gauge will fit in the din area. Also who has made a centre console gauge holder?

Up to 3 x 52mm gauges will fit in a din slot. Alternatively, buy a sheet of acrylic, and fit them in the centre vents.

I've just tried to fit a 52mm boost gauge in the same place but it's a real squeeze, can't put the surround on the stereo now and think I'll need to dremmel out a curve on the lower din edge to get it to fit without stretching the surround.

Think I'll invest in one of those triple holders to bring it away and angle it a bit.

I tried to fit gauges into a Din pod and had no luck, it must depend on the gauge, mine were to large even though they fit a 52mm hole the bezel was far to large and not removable.

I bought one of the carbon fibre covers, even with this fitted I had to remove some plastic from the facia underneath to fit the 52mm gauges and the stereo surround will not fit back on.

Sorry not got a pic of it fitted.

If you look at the pic I posted the DIN bracket mounts the 52mm gauges proud of the dash and angled towards the driver, this allows the stereo facia room to be slotted in behind.
