Extensive MR2 build thread???

Post by J-1 »

Has there ever been a build thread where the same (or perhaps more) effort has been put in like this build?

I love reading build threads but never read an extensive build thread on an MR2...

There are loads of detailed project threads on the Supra forum www.mkivsupra.com worth a read, see projects section.

I remember seeing that Subaru a while back, nothing was getting close to it on track! Rapido!

The problem is that there is - of necessity - an amount of secrecy surrounding most motorsport projects. For instance, we've got a project here at Rogue where we're building a 3.8 litre supercharged, chargecooled MR2 Roadster race car with just about everything fitted. And I mean everything - we've had to daisy chain a second datalogger to the first one to handle the number of inputs from the sensors around the car, which include real time tyre temperatures and suspension geometry changes etc.

But beyond the headline details and a few pictures I can't really tell you much about it, because I can't risk the information getting into the hands of other competitors... :(

Sure does, saw it at Brands for a time attack event a few years back. The thing flew round paddock and up the hill like nothing else there that day.
