It's a gauge plate which has been moulded into the vent space of a standard centre console piece. Then it's been sprayed to match the pearl white of the bodwork. Scott did this though, god bless him. As it would have been a bu88er to do

Haha, the spoiler's staying, so get used to it

Future plans are:

- Install the discs and Carbotech pads from the old car
- Stick in Mule heart and brain
- Tidy up the lines on how the spats are mounted
- Powdercoat the Cusco brace ends red and install
- Polybush the engine mounts
- Replace the chassis brace and pillow balls with some of the last few bits from Rob's 2.2 weapon.

Umm, some other stuff too. Which eludes me right now

To be honest, over the week I was out of the country and pondering which car to buy, I spent an awful lot of time looking at photos of a few cars. The more time passed the more the look of this car just started to work for me. Then the day I went to see it I know I had to have it the moment I spotted it on the driveway.

There's refinements I'll do to things, like lining the rim of the engine cover as it rubs the paint. But the look as a whole I adore, especially the interior, now I've put the bits in

Could those who know tyres tell me if a 215/40/18 would work in place of a 245/35/18 as the fronts? Would it cure the rubbing problem and look right?

I was told to go for a 225/40/18 by a tyre company mate. A 215 might look silly with to much stretch.

The other option is to call whifbitz where I got the wheels from and see if they do a 8x18 wheel the same as the ones on it with the right offset or with a spacer and put a 225/35/18 on that. Would give more space in the arch for coilovers and a smaller over all profile.

I had no problem with my old wheels at 18x8 with 225/35/18 with a 35 offset. (Would need a 5 or 10mm spacer for the arches though. (Longer studs wouldn't be needed due to the depth of the wheel bolt holes in the wheel)
