Bad day at the MOT Station, please help.

Post by b16hbg »

Hi all, took the car for an MOT This morning, unfortunately it failed on the NS headlamp aim too low. Having not had the car long, it has come prefitted with non standard headlights. I think they are rogue headlights, twin round lamp jobby. Anyways, dan, my mot tester tried to adjust it but he got it as high as he could and the headlight shut itself. Anyone got any ideas how to further adjust it? Thanks in advance

If it shut itself before he could finish tinkering with the adjustment, then you can raise them manually by turning little knobs in the frunk. Perhaps raise it that way, adjust aim a bit more, and hope it's ok for MOT :)

Turn headlights on, let them raise.

Go into the FRONT Fuse box in your "Frunk" and remove the fuse marked "RTR" if I remember is the 30amp

That will stop the headlights going down.......assuming thats what you are talking about!!

The light switch has 3 clicks -

Click 1 = Bulb Change / Adjust mode
Click 2 = Side Lights
Click 3 = Headlights on

But you need the lights up before moving to click position 1 to get them to stop up :thumleft:
