[Mk2] [Turbo] body kits by Raymond

Post by Shmed »

Has anyone bought a body kit off a guy called Ramond? Looks like a good deal but not sure about fit, he says people on here recommend him, so fishing for info.

Cheers

just have this niggling thought that if I rip out the wiring, then the car will never get out of the garage again.

Most replicas require some form of work to fit them properly, some are worse than others. The fact not many people have replied suggests hes not that great, some links to his work may give people some ideas.

The kit costs £300 (full Border kit - bumper, side skirts and rear spats). He offers fitting for £300, so I guess he is confident in his own kit.

300 quid fitted sounds a good deal.
It looks like Mr2 ben sells this kit, maybe someone here has bought one from him.

I think he means £300 for kit and another £300 for fitting. Ive had to manipulate kits before and its not too hard so long as you take your time, if he has done it before he will know which bits he needs to adjust on the kit and shouldnt take him too long so will make himself an extra £300.

It may be a great fit but always be wary if something sounds like a great deal.

Yeah, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is! That's why I was fishing for someone who had first hand experience of the kit. I'm kinda thinking I should get bigger brakes before body kit now.

Oh lol, I totally miss read that as 300 quid fitted
In that case I really would need to know what I was getting for my money.

I fitted my kit myself and it was easy enough, the killer is prep work. Im doing a new bomex front bumper for my car now and getting all the imperfections out ready for paint has been far from easy.
