LOL, I have a white one that used to have a blue interior, that was mostly swapped for black by the previous owner as he and myself didn't not like the blue, so now it has a bit of both

I 'thought' I liked the blue interiors when these cars were new in the showroom. But this was based on a casual glance through the windows.

I had a dark blue mk1b for a while with this blue interior and to truly hate the interior you really have to own and drive the car for a while.
Sitting in the passenger seat on a sunny day is the final straw for the blue hell. You really do see how hideous it is as someone else drives the car.

My workaround was to try NOT to look at the interior and just drive the car

LOL! @Jeremy! Blimey, much hate for the blue interiors. I've had two MK1s with blue interiors. I've suffered enough. I made sure my third MK1 was red which had the bonus of a black interior. I nearly bought a silver one, but was just gutted to see that that had a blue interior too. Nooo.

I think the only people who like blue interiors are those with blue interiors in their cars. I've yet to hear of anyone taking a black interior out of a MK1 and replacing it with a blue interior!

To be fair when I was looking at AE86's I quite fancied a red one until I found out that they tend to have red and brown interiors. If you think blue is bad....

It was the eighties, young lady. Practically anything white or silver was 'Blue Max' inside the cabin (although the Japanese seemed the only ones prepared to extend this to dashboards and steering wheels).

Count yourself lucky you weren't around in the seventies when beiges and browns were superabundant whereupon the scheme both provoked then helped conceal the effects of car-sickness.

I could have handled the blue if it didn't extend to everything and therein lies the problem.

Yes, I remember some of the 70's too, my dad had an Allegro in green with a beige webasto sunroof. I'm still traumatised!

I didn't have a good look round it but the fella said it's ok, just needed tidying but you never know till you poke it with your screwdriver. I thought it looked well worth the money.

Thats my mates old car. It's well looked after and well worth that price. It's full of little gadgets and add ons but it's all done well but to his own tatse. It's a take it or leave kind of thing.
