Great day out- Anglesey as always delivering the goods, I love that track...and it was good to catch up with you guys
Never needed my new tyres, scared the cr@p out of myself as a passenger with my Dad driving, I had a high speed spin out by running a bit wide onto the grass, and somehow managed to burn my way through almost 70 litres of fuel....good times!
Can't wait for the next track day

Great to see everyone yesterday
Must admit though I was desperately missing not having my SC there out on track
Have firmed up on a plan though . Although I would love to build another Mk1.5 I have decided to try something different and will be looking for a roadster with a good solid chassis and a 3SGTE. That should make a good dual purpose (as far as it is possible to have a dual purpose) sportscar for the weekends and occasional trackcar.

Thanks to everyone who made it the day it was.
Whilst I was somewhat dissapointed with my car, I thank Steve for letting me drive his MK1.5 which felt fook me quick! Was funny about the open diff though!
Also I got to drive Toni's Roadster race car and well, from spending the previous portion of the day being a moving chicane on wallowy suspension in the AE86, I suddenly was in a position to get my own back. The turn in and cornering speeds were just mega and I loved how I was eating alive some of the faster cars on corner entry!
After saying how much I hate my car all day, I've woken up and realised that that isn't the case and was probably being a bit harsh.
So, I have a cunning plan, more of which later!

No problems L, sorry it didn't want to stay out for too long!!
I know you were having a sad day with little 86 & we probably didn't help by giving you a bit of ribbing, but i'm sure your love will come back for it!!!
I was in the same sad boat with mine due to temps & was already planning how to get rid/change engine/change car/etc, but realistically, try a new water pump & spend a load more on a track day to see if it's fixed!!!!
Overall 'twas a good day again & good to catch up with you all again!
Cheers for the passenger rides out as well!

LOL@ Tom, knowing full well the secret engine plans...
Always good to catch up, Steve. What we need now is a curry night!
I hope Lee had a good time too.
In not so secret plans I've been eyeing up the Driftworks CS2 coilovers to go on the car. I know AE86's can be stonking on track and there are plenty of parts available.

I had a great time and enjoyed some good passenger rides (thanks everyone).
Mk1.5 made it home in one piece as well surprisingly so it may get battered at York tomorrow if the weather is ok. See if I can break 12's before the new engine goes in.
Curry night sounds great to me

Think we ought to get something organised. Maybe as you guys have been down here, perhap Steve could book a date with a curry house over his way?

There is a very good one near us (that I may have visited tonight).
We also have a spare room should anyone fancy a drink and need to stay over.

Ah thanks for the offer, Lee. Thing is we'd probably have to get back for Indy really.
Set a date and we'll get it sorted.

Oh yes- never known such an awesome combination, it's amazing how easily I can out break a lot of the other cars on the track once the R888's and carbo's get up to temp

Yeah- close, was just before where you had your issue, I ran a bit wide and made the mistake of not letting up thinking I'll just gently nudge back onto track, only to see my ass overtake my nose as I spun back across the track a couple of times
