1997 p reg turbo help

Post by agentturbo »

hi all i should know this really and will go and check the car out tomorrow. if i can.
some guy selling a nice rev3 red turbo car.seen it about many times around the London area.
was in the Croydon of London area now Sutton area..my question is this he states in his advert
HPI checked .and claims its a 1997 turbo..but from his spec list not claiming any air-bags fitted on the turbo..now mine is a 1996 turbo with both air-bags and i know rev4 had a short span from Revision 4 - June 1996 to December 1997..if i go check it out how can i break it to him without hurting his feeling that its not a rev4 turbo and most probably a rev3. he might not even know much about the revision changes, he seems a real nice guy as he was very honest in his post and say's only due I’m now disabled and have a mobility car .gee that must suck from turbo to mobility car.
apart from seat belt tags and chassis numbers and side lights repeaters(which i now just noticed are the rev3 repeater lights)any other clear tail tail signs...still a fantastic car with BBS gold wheels on her and a GT model to boot. may buy the car
regards carl...............oopps but this message in mk3 section

the only real proof is to equate the chassis code to the revision number.
