Depending on which Revision the car is, anything between 158 and 175BHP. At least that was the output when the cars were new.

The temperature gauge should not rise above half way. The fans kick in as and when required.

Are you on a tight budget?

How much are you looking to pay for the Rev 2?

Nothing wrong with Rev 2s, but Rev 3s look so much better and prices are at an all time low at the moment.

I paid just £800 for my Rev 3 with long T&T and compared with some bargains that have come up in the past few weeks, I paid too much!

I've had six Rev 1/2/3 NAs over the past 10 years and none of them had temperature issues. Even in heavy traffic on a hot day the needle would never rise above half way.

I know i would have liked it with the original but just thought it was a good price as its got a toad alarm 96000 miles with service history all receipts or all work ever done and old mot's to prove millage and I paid £750

That sounds fair enough.

To be honest with you, at this end of the price range I don't really care whether someone else bought a similar car for a hundred quid less. Due to the increasing cost of insurance and petrol prices, MR2 values are very low at the moment.

Mine also came with a thick history folder and old MoTs. The "best" MR2 I've had was my first one, a very early Rev 1 GT, but this one feels just as healthy and strong. I hope it behaves itself!
