I'm after a quick bit of advice.

.

I've been doing a lot of work under the car recently and replacing a lot of bits.

There are a few parts that aren't going to be replaced though and are looking a little worse for wear

(signs of corossion and age at 22 years old).

I want to revamp these parts.

I want the underbody of my car to be completly sound to ensure that the parts aren't rusting or getting worse.

I'm after some form of protection, which also ideally gives it a nice black finish to make the underside look nicer and more modern.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Have you done this

- What have you used?

So far I've been thinking about black hammerite

(but liable to chip after a while, especially on the underside of the car) and waxoil

(but needs recoating ideally every year and is liable to pick up a lot of debris from the road).

So far I'm leaning towards the hammerite route.

Any more suggestions?

Thanks people
