Best place for 7AGE build info is probably the US MR2OC, there have been a few built over there. I don't know of anyone in the UK who has done one. :-k

As far as fitment goes I don't think there are many issues, the drivers side engine mount may need some fettling but coolant hoses and wiring should be pretty much the same as stock.

hmm interesting.
my plans at the moment is to merge my 7afe block with one of my 4age heads.

My old man use to work for toyota back in the day, he seems to think the build will be straight forward, well i hope it will be.
And pritty much a straight swap.

One thing which does concern me is that with the block being taller, im hoping that the engine and sump dont sit to low.

That'll be the least of your problems, the V6 and 3s-gte motors are much taller than a 4a-ge and fit fine in a Mk1. From memory you'll need a different cambelt but apart from that it should be simple.

A writeup of your project (with pics) on here would be good Sideways

I, for one, am very interested, as you probably gathered from the other thread :)

5AGE seems the better conversion

10,500 revs & doesnt have the weak flywheel fastening problem

Totally agree :)

Big pile of money needed too

The 7AGE could be fairly low budget I think

I think the 7A-GE project is well worth doing :thumleft:

Could realistically do one myself

Doubt I'll ever find a 5A kit at an affordable price :? :)

Yes I should be able to get a good one at reasonable cost, probably locally

Can't say I've heard of any with a 20mm pin, even my HKS forged ones were 18mm.
