What do the Rays look like?

My list is:

Mk1b Steering Wheel, Black Diamond Brake Pads all round, Goodrich Braided brake Hoses all round, RBF500 Brake Fluid, Jimi Bracket, Fensport Lowering Springs, Rear 19mm ARB, 72mm-54.1mm Spigot Rings for the Alloys and thats everything.

What i will need to pay for is some spring compressor clamps and geometry setup afterwards, then its sorted for good :D

got a full set without centre caps thought. I had them acid dipped and sand blasted and then powder coated though my work. Only problem is that the acid dip and sand blast left some pitting and i was expecting the powdercoat to fill these pits but unfortunately it hasn't so its quite visible.

Yes it is a bummer

The other Alex (SuperRed) has just got his back together after suffering the same problem

It's something that could happen to many of us at any time

Is being so cheerful as keeps me going :D

Having done some research im contemplating getting a spare standard flywheel and having it lightened and fitting a good quality standard clutch kit to match, what size I don't know yet, depends on whether I get a mk1b 212mm or mk1a 200mm flywheel...

You may as well go for the later flywheel and bigger clutch. Later flywheels are more plentiful than earlier ones.

Thanks Lauren, I don't know what weight reduction I could achieve but to compare the Fidanza is 5lb and the standard is around 11lb

Looking forward to your before & after pics Sean

I took measurements front & back of the skirt on the sill, between bottom of skirt & ground, before & after

Slight differences between corners but on average car is 50 mill lower

Not 30

Is a little difficult to get small trolley jack under at the front now :?

Peter,

I took some measurements yesterday with the standard 14" wheels & 185/65/14 tyres on its original standard suspension.

The gap between the top of tyres and the wheel arch is 5.5cm

The gap between the sideskirt and the floor is 18.5cm at the front end and the rear end.

My gaps between skirt edge & floor varied a bit on standard springs & still vary now Sean

To compare directly with you :

Before : between 18.5 & 19.5cm

After: between 14.0 & 14.5

From my experience when lve bought lowering springs they dont lower the car as much as stated or they state 25-30mm for example, why would these springs over lower the car by 10mm?
