My Tintop Caribbean Blue GT-S

Post by dannyhall »

Had this car over 6 month now, it was more or less standard when I got it. Done some minor mod's to it now;

HKS air filter
XS Power Intercooler
Berk Tech exhaust
Berk Tech downpipe
Private plate
JDM plate holder
Clear indicators
Front mudflaps
DAB radio/cd player with professionaly fitted sub/amp & uprated speakers
Momo gearknob
16" Enkei RS alloys

Used a machine polisher on it last week, managed to get rid of the majority of swirl marks and light scratches. Got a few pictures of it, what do you think?

BTW I know the front bumper lip is black, previous owner preferred it that way...

Thanks for looking,
Dan

Hey up Will, you still got your 2?

Cheers fella, yeah the plate is cool, but not everyone cottons on with what it means! Lol.

Cheers for the positive comments guys, yeah 3 days went into just polishing it alone - nearly drove me around the bend! But it's got 5 coats of wax on it now so should maintain its shine for the summer...

Alrighty there Danny boy, hows things?

Loving the 2, can't beat a nice shiney Caribean Blue Rev 3 GT-S tintop ;)

It's a lot cleaner than mine, that is for sure. You don't hang around when it comes to modding do you.

Did you fit the IC and decat yourself?

Cheers fella's :) I thought Caribbean Blue was a rare colour?! Lol.

Jamie you've got a tintop too?! Great minds think alike ah? First the little french hatchbacks, now RWD & (est) 250bhp...

Lol the only two things that were on the car were the IC & the decat. Both were fitted when the turbo went bang a couple of years ago.

And you know modding is my game! ;) However im currently saving for a house and my little expenditures have got to calm down..

Cheers Dave :) Yeah the white doesnt look too bad, they suit the car. But they will go a darker colour at some point.. Yeah we need a Stoke/Staffordshire meet, especially now the weather is picking up abit!

Currently in the process of respraying my wiper arms after the previous owner hammerited them with a brush.. Also resprayed my 'X' brace a purple/pink colour due to it being abit rusty. Will get some pics once everythings been refitted and in place.

Car has been serviced using Mobil Super S oil, Genuine Toyota filter and a HKS air filter. HKS SSQV also fitted. Sprayed the standard X brace purple too.

Car is currently on winter wheels due to the rear tracking being out? Causing excessive wear on the inside of the tyre, need new tyres for the Enkei's and possbily a cheeky powdercoat if funds allow. But first road fund license is required :(

Anyway a few pictures in its current state;

Haven't updated this in awhile, car has been through some changes since I last posted...

Had the Enkei's powdercoated Anthracite and Hankook RS2's fitted for a small fee... :S Also a Momo boss and deep dish steering wheel fitted too.

Gave it another 12 hour detail:

New Rear mudflaps:

Then sold the Enkeis. And purchased a set of BC coilovers and had them fitted by Rogue as they moved into their new premises - top quality service and will go back again...

Image

(that was the last time it was washed... over 2 months now :0 )

Purchased a Rev5 carbon spoiler and painted the end caps matte black for the winter. Smoked side repeaters and a stick on plate (as my JDM plate holder fell off due to the firm suspension!) Also got a set of staggered 17" Rota Boosts to go on. Excuse the dirty state its in... :
