Hi
Yes I'm the guy with the "beast" I did get her off ebay, the bloke who had her bought her just for the engine goodies as he raced A4GE engined kit cars, but when he got her, she is in such good nick he hadn't the heart to break her so he pu it on ebay (bless your heart Tim!).
I'm still trying to get to grips with the spec,
it's a Jenvey induction system with a OMEX 500 ECU, with distributor less ignition via a crank sensor, and the rest Bod's got it about right
My intention is to tidy up the engine bay, sort out the breathing by ducting the air through the boot tidying up the bulkhead, but first I have to get her in the garage, which is occupied by my stock MR2, which I am selling, so if any of you guys out there want a tidy MR2 for £1200 ish contact me

How does the beast perform in comparison with your stock Mk1 MM ?

Did you manage to get to the rolling road session last Saturday ?

Sadly MM didn't come to the Dyno day as he was working. I went tho (as I organised it) and scored a very respectable 107.7 bhp which I was well happy with. Not bad for completely standard with 126800 mile on the clock.

Ooops sorry Lauren won't happen again

Well Pete the differences, its certainly a helluva lot quicker (and noisier) than the stock MR but I dont think the handling is better, for all that lowering & racing dampers ect its made it a lot more skittish over bumps, & it just doesn't feel as "planted" as my old MR, but that is probably beacuse it is set up for the track, maybe there's some room for thought there.

Hello Graham, racing dampers ?

Not adjustable then ?

Konis seem a good idea

You beat me to it! I was looking at this on ebay thinking to myself....Rang up flux for a quote and swiftly got an appology from the girl on the phone then saying "we cant insure you for under £10k".

so that quickly ended the plans i had of buying this.

Hi PK090
Well it depends on how old you are us old wrinklies can get insurance a lot cheaper, just about the only advantage of being middle aged!!!
It's with MCE & its £233 but yes I did have a few qoutes over £9000
& whats more I was truthful in the specs I gave to them!!!!!

Hi elbon
Yes it appears to have a mixture of Koni's & stock I haven't yet got my head around it yet, when I get it in the garage I can have a good look around & see whats what.
