From Riots to... Rest In Pieces...

Post by CardHore »

So.... There I am, working all through the night due to high demand of the Police dealing with the aftermath of all this rioting around Brixton, from Carphone Warehouse, to betting shops all the way to dealing with a large Nando's resturaunt that was for no reason set on fire... I was there... Securing them all.

Thought i'd treat myself to Maccy D's while the demand got quiet until I just had to pull over at the scene of an untastefully modified car wrapped around a lamp post....

Ladies and gents...

The Police had dealt with the young lad who drove it all the way back from Blackpool where he purchased it (the fella was obviously blind or a chav), fella went home way before I pulled up and the poor guy who's car and fence he smashed in the driveway he's on was apparently 'testing it's performance'... The direction from which he spun it was a straight road following a slight curve, he obv. gave it too much loud pedal action and low and behold takes out half the street.

I had to have a mooch around the car to find Toyo T1-R's mounted on standard 15" rims, lexus lights (nearly puked just now), a turbo[i*] badge, some dodgy stickers, a terrible rear BoMeX wannabe wing, ebay special bucket seats, a manual boost controller on the arm rest which says 'turbo' on it... oh and some louder exhaust... I was then daring enough to open the door, pop the lid and confirmed it was indeed turbo'd with an HKS style shroom filter and anodised red bailey dump valve... Nuff said. Either he bought it for £250 or.... OK enough, could be a genuine guy but im sticking to my guns... I dont like it, if anything looks better as it is, takes your eyes off the 'modifications'.

The guy I believe is OK, the car showed a 1 year out of date tax disc.

Note the street lamp he completely flattened lol.

Donk!

the guy he bought it from lived round the corner from me it was Thornton Cleveleys where the car was bought.

It was on Ebay about a week ago and I was hunting for a mr2 as I was selling my Honda DC2 Integra.

The guy wanted 2.5k for it plus when I had a HPI check it came up that the MOT's didnt add up and that the car has been CLOCKED!!

I was going to send him a polite message about it being an OFFENCE to own a clocked car but thought against it.

Think he said it was on 60isk and the actual was near 102k

I thought I could pick it up sub 1k and de rice the whole car inside and out lol least its one less riced up car.

He's an idiot then for not only buying it but for driving it like one.
No sympathy from me apart from anyone affected by his destructive and idiotic driving.

Not necessarily clocked if he had M.O.T certs that say a higher mileage it may have been in KM`s, then converted to miles at a later date and could therefore look to be a lower mileage on a newer M.O.T certificate. It might have documentation with the car to prove it. But then it might not...lol.

Edit - Take the stickers off, change the lights and rear ironing board and it would have been a nice car again.

I know I'm late but there doesn't seem to be a lot of tread on those tyres, and you say it fell off the road...? Would probably have done the same on the first wet day anyway.

Unfortunately the rev3 I bought also had the lexus style rear lights, though they are cracked so will look at picking up some regular replacements at some point. The spoiler is also on the larget side which puts it at exactly the wrong place in the rear view mirror so I have the worst possible visibility this car can manage. I still love my tubby though and treat her with respect so hopefully won't find myself wrapped around a lamp post like this anytime soon.
