Mk2 chassis number?

Post by James_525 »

I have a UK Mk2 Rev 5 with an import Rev 3 turbo engine. I'd like it to have a thorough service at my local Mr T, but they would like the chassis number from the car the engine came from to know what parts to order. I don't have this number.

Can anyone help with an equivilent? Or is a chassis number something that shouldn't be shared?

In all honestly, the prices Toyota will charge you'd be better off with a specialist. A specialist would also be more familiar with the car. If you do go with Toyota, they need service items from an ST205 Celica GT4 (same engine)
If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.

Yup. Mr T last time I checked wanted over £80 phr for labour which is twice as much as my local specialist. I wouldn't take my car to them based on this and the fact that most haven't seen a 2 for a decade or so.

I took mine to Mr T last week and their labour charge was £50ph. For somethings i actually find Mr T cheaper than a specialist, always worth asking both, but highway star is right need to find a Mr T that has worked ona 2 recently.

re the chassis number, i would give them a chassis number from any Jap spec Rev 3 GT or GT-S this will give them all they need to order the parts, they can also do it (well they can for UK cars) through a reg number, so if you can find a reg of a Rev 3 turbo that may also work.

good luck with it Rob
